September competition winner: Toitoi–Gecko Press competition for young writers and artists

Our readers have been busy this month, creating entries for our September competition. We received poems and artwork inspired by a range of Gecko Press books, including Cook’s Cook, Detective Gordon: A Case for Buffy, the My Happy Life series and Ecology and the Environment: Step-by-Step. We couldn’t possibly choose a winner, so we drew one at random!

This month’s winner: Selena from Addington School, Christchurch

A copy of Cornelia and the Jungle Machine by Nora Brech is on its way to you.

October competition

Just in time for Halloween, we’re giving away a copy of Clotilde Perrin’s spooky new book, The House of Madame M.

To enter our October competition, tell us about your favourite scary book. Every response will go in the draw to win a copy of The House of Madame M, a magical work of paper-engineering and imagination.

You can email us at office@geckopress.com with ‘October competition’ in the subject line, or comment on Facebook and Twitter.
