The Visitor | 2018 New York Times/New York Public Library Best Illustrated Children’s Books

We are excited to announce that The Visitor has been named a Best Illustrated Book of the Year by The New York Times/The New York Public Library. A huge congratulations to Antje Damm!

Since 1952, The New York Times considers every illustrated children’s book published that year in the United States. They select the winners purely on the basis of artistic merit.

‘In Antje Damm’s remarkable “The Visitor,” a boy rushes into a lonely woman’s black-and-white 3-D collage world, bringing an explosion of color, light and life.’ — B.C.
