All information, graphic images, and designs contained on this site or in printed form in our products are protected by copyright law in New Zealand and Australia and in most other countries. No part of this website or printed material may be reproduced, copied, reprinted, re-typed, broadcast, or stored in any retrieval system, without the express permission of Gecko Press Publishing Ltd.
RETURNS / EXCHANGES
Exchange Card Policy
We will exchange any Gecko Press book for another of equivalent value, less the shipping, handling and packaging cost. We are unable to reimburse freight costs and freight will be charged for the exchange item.
We will only accept returns if:
The return package is postmarked within 14 days of receipt of order, and
The product(s) are in original condition
or
The return package is postmarked within 14 days of receipt of order, and
The product as you received it has a manufacturing fault
Before making a return, please email us at our Online shop, stating:
Your name
E-mail address
Description (title/ISBN number) of product being returned
Reason for returning the product
Provided the reason for return meets these terms, we will provide you with a Return Authorisation Number.
You will be responsible for return shipping costs.
If the reason for returning the product(s) is because of manufacturing faults, we will either replace the product or fully refund the purchase price.
For all other returns, we will refund the full purchase price less the shipping, handling and packaging cost.
ORDER CANCELLATION
An order may be cancelled at any time prior to shipment of your order.
To cancel an order, simply email our Online shop stating:
Your Name
E-mail address
Your order confirmation number
We will acknowledge all cancellations via e-mail, and reimburse your credit card where required.
DELAY IN SUPPLY
We will advise you if your order is delayed for any reason.
PRICING
All prices on this website are based on New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and all charges will be billed to the customer in New Zealand Dollars.
DELIVERY
In New Zealand your package will be sent by courier if you provide a physical address. For addresses outside New Zealand your package will be sent airmail.
We aim to ship your order the same or following work day from the day your order is placed.
DELIVERY – OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS
We absorb much of the cost of freight. International orders are currently sent from New Zealand and incur a flat rate.
We send international orders by airmail via New Zealand Post. (New Zealand does not have a Sea Mail or Surface service.)
Please note we do not own the rights to sell some books to some countries, and if this affects your order we will email you.
GOODS AND SERVICES TAX (GST)
For orders delivered to addresses within New Zealand, prices include Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 15%.
For orders delivered to addresses outside of New Zealand, GST will not be charged.
IMPORT, CUSTOMS DUTIES, AND TAXES
International shipping and handling costs that are charged to the customer do not include applicable import duties or taxes that are due upon entry into the destination country. If the destination country imposes import duties and/or taxes, the customer is responsible for their payment.
PRIVACY ACT
The information you provide to us in the course of ordering products will never be given, sold or otherwise revealed to other companies or organisations. Sensitive information (i.e. credit card number) is held in a secure form and will not be divulged under any circumstances except to authorities legally entitled to that information through the application of relevant New Zealand law.
No disclosure
We need some of your personal details in order to supply your order or to give you access to our database. We will not sell, rent or otherwise disclose your personal details to any third party unless:
We are required to by law
We are completing financial transactions with our bank
We need to protect the rights or property of Gecko Press
We need to provide you with a service you have requested
We will record your IP address for audit and statistical purposes. IP addresses may also be used to investigate fraudulent activities in our online shop, should that be necessary.

SEVERABILITY
In the event that any part of these terms and conditions will be determined to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable for any reason, then such terms and conditions will be severed from the remaining terms and conditions, which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
GOVERNING LAW
These terms and conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.

We choose books which are strong in story, illustration and design, with a strong ‘heart factor’. Our goal is to encourage children to love to read.
